Thanks to member Darlene Brown and the
efforts of her longtime friend, Leigh Johnson, we have been given 20 beautiful
commemorative roses to use in our Memorial Garden. This generous donation is
from Jackson and Perkins, the nationally known growers.
Nancy and Ron Reagan Roses
"Jackson and Perkins is very happy to assist the City of Shasta Lake Community
with the donation of the Veterans Honor Rose, and to help establish this
beautiful veteran's garden", stated Bill Ihle, Senior Vice President of
Corporate Relations. "We made a similar donation to Arlington Cemetery in
Washington D.C. and it is gorgeous".
Darlene and Leigh are alumni of CV High
School. Leigh, Director Government Relations, Bear Creek Corporation, Medford,
Mr Lincoln
OR, and his wife, Nancy, will be donating these additional J & P
commemorative roses: Nancy Reagan, Ronald Reagan, Mister Lincoln, America, 4th
of July and Barbara Bush. All of these wonderful roses will certainly enhance
the Memorial Garden. Our heartfelt thanks to such thoughtful donors.
