The Shasta Lake Garden Project is a volunteer,non-profit group of people
who work and/or live, in or near, the City of Shasta Lake and have a strong
desire for city beautification.
Goals
The Shasta Lake Garden Project goals are to have a
completely landscaped downtown area, with attractive curbside and median
planting along the length of the boulevard thereby raising the level of
community pride and adding to its economic health.
The Shasta Lake Garden Project individuals to volunteer
their energies and resources, thus furnishing a feeling of belonging to the
community. It provides a source of beauty for guests and tourists driving
through the city on the way to Shasta Dam, giving them a positive impression
and a reason to linger.
Projects
* Special projects and new gardens.
* Design, planting and care of median strips and pocket parks.
* Acquisition of land for a botanical garden.
* Consultation and design for those wishing to create or enhance public/private
